"Concentrated power is not rendered harmless by the good intentions of those who create it"

This quote by Milton Friedman recommends that merely having good purposes when developing focused power is inadequate to stop it from becoming unsafe. To put it simply, despite the most effective of purposes, focused power has the potential to become hazardous as well as adversely influence culture. For that reason, it is important to very carefully take into consideration the consequences and constraints of concentrated power before permitting it to be created.
