This quote by Robert A. Heinlein is encouraging us to be positive in life. He is stating that although a pessimist might be more precise in their forecasts, an optimist will have more fun and delight in life more. He is likewise stating that no matter what our outlook on life is, it will not alter the events that will happen. We ought to not let our pessimism stop us from living life to the fullest and taking pleasure in the moments we have. We need to make every effort to be positive and take a look at the intense side of life, even if it might not be the most precise. Life is too short to be cynical and we should take advantage of it.
