He may have been more thinking about having fun with dolls or other toys that were seen as more appropriate for ladies. He might have been more sensitive to the sensations of others, or he might have been more likely to sob or reveal feeling. Whatever the case, it appears that he was not the typical "ruffian" as a kid.
