If pet dogs could talk, it would remove a few of the secret and fun of owning one. We would no longer be able to guess what they are believing or why they do specific things. We would no longer have the ability to make fun of their ridiculous antics or be shocked by their commitment. We would no longer be able to enjoy the easy pleasure of their presence. Pets are unique animals that bring us delight and companionship without the requirement for words. If they might talk, it would remove some of the enjoyable of owning one.
