This quote by Orson Scott Card speaks to the idea that our minds are limited in their capability to believe outside of the box. We are often stuck in our own thought patterns and can just think about the concerns that we already understand the answers to. We rarely surprise ourselves with originalities or solutions due to the fact that our minds are so concentrated on the concerns that we currently know. This quote motivates us to believe outside of the box and to challenge ourselves to come up with originalities and services. It is only when we push ourselves to believe beyond our own questions that we can genuinely shock ourselves and develop something new.
