This absence of guideline enabled enemies of the United States to equip themselves right here in our own country, which postured a serious danger to nationwide security. The 9/11 attacks highlighted the need for more stringent weapon laws, and since then, the United States has carried out a variety of procedures to make sure that guns are not falling under the wrong hands.
