However, science has no authority to tell us what is permissible, what is best or wrong, or what ought to be done. This is a choice that should be made by society, based upon ethical and moral considerations. Science can notify us of the prospective repercussions of our actions, however it can not dictate what is allowable. Ultimately, it is up to us to decide what is ideal and wrong, and science can only supply us with the truths and proof to assist us make an informed choice.
