This quote by Confucius recommends that even the best and most reputable individuals have defects and imperfections that are visible to others. However, unlike normal people, exceptional individuals have the ability to acknowledge and improve upon their weaknesses, similar to the sun and moon constantly change and develop. In spite of their faults, these people are still appreciated and respected by others who admire them.
