This quote speaks to the importance of trust in our lives. Without trust, we can not open ourselves up to the possibility of love and joy. We are most susceptible when we rely on someone, as we are putting ourselves in a position of prospective hurt. Nevertheless, if we can not rely on, we can not experience the delight and love that comes with relying on someone. It is a paradox that we need to take a risk in order to experience the rewards of trust. We must want to rely on order to experience the happiness and love that features it. Trusting somebody is a danger, but it is a threat that can bring us excellent benefits. We need to be willing to take the danger in order to experience the joy and love that comes with trusting someone.
