This quote by William Golding is a tip that we are responsible for our own actions which we need to not blame others for our own mistakes. It is necessary to take ownership of our own actions and to be accountable for them. We ought to not try to shift the blame onto others, as this will only result in further problems. It is our own choices and decisions that define us, and it is up to us to make sure that we are making the best ones. We need to make every effort to make choices that will bring us closer to our goals and that will make us proud of ourselves. We should not let the actions of others define us, as we are the ones who are eventually accountable for our own lives.
