The essence of America is the fragile balance in between liberty "to" and flexibility "from". Flexibility "to" is the ability to pursue our dreams and aspirations without disturbance from the government or other external forces. Liberty "from" is the right to be devoid of injustice, discrimination, and other types of oppression. This balance is necessary to the American way of life and is the foundation of our democracy. It is the duty of all people to guarantee that this balance is preserved. We must aim to secure the rights of all people and make sure that everybody has the opportunity to pursue their dreams and goals. We need to also work to make sure that all people are devoid of injustice and discrimination. This delicate balance between freedom "to" and flexibility "from" is the essence of America and need to be protected and maintained.
