William James' quote, "When you need to make a choice and do not make it, that remains in itself an option," points towards an important reality about decision-making. It represents that indecision is, in fact, a choice. When we're faced with options however fail to select one, we're basically deciding to avoid taking a threat or choosing a path entirely. Such indecisiveness can be a result of worry, insecurity, or a lack of clarity on top priorities. It may seem simpler to postpone deciding, but not making one can be more harmful in the long run. Ultimately, every decision matters, even not making one, as it determines the course of one's life.
