Daisy Berkowitz, born upon April 28, 1968, in Los Angeles, California, USA, was an American musician and songwriter, understood for being a founding member and guitar player of the alternative rock band Marilyn Manson. His real name was Scott Mitchell Putesky.

Maturing in Los Angeles, Putesky developed an interest in music from a young age. He played guitar in numerous high school bands and eventually met Brian Warner, later on called Marilyn Manson, in 1989. They chose to form a band and adopt stage names, with Putesky taking the name Daisy Berkowitz.

Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids
In 1989, Daisy Berkowitz, in addition to Marilyn Manson, developed the band Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids. The band was a fusion of heavy metal and shock rock music, influenced by imitate Alice Cooper and Black Sabbath. During their early years, the band went through numerous line-up modifications. The original line-up consisted of Berkowitz as lead guitar player, Manson as prima donna, Gidget Gein on bass, Sara Lee Lucas on drums, and Madonna Wayne Gacy on keyboards.

Later On Career and Collaborations
In 1998, Daisy Berkowitz formed another band, called The Daisy Kids. Although the band did not attain commercial success, they continued to perform and tape music throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Berkowitz also took part in several musical collaborations, dealing with artists like Godhead, Switchblade Symphony, and various local South Florida bands. In addition, he was involved in a number of side projects, such as Three Ton Gate and Stuck on Evil.

Personal Life and Death
Daisy Berkowitz chose to keep his individual life personal, hardly ever speaking about his relationships or household. In September 2017, it was announced that Berkowitz was fighting phase 4 colon cancer. On October 22, 2017, he died at the age of 49.
