Neil Francis Tennant is an English musician, composer and also producer who together with Chris Lowe make up the duo Pet Store Boys.

In his youth he went to St. Cuthbert's Grammar School, a Catholic young boys' college in Newcastle, the very same college as the one years of age Sting. While he went to school, he played guitar and also cello. As a 16-year-old, he was part of a group called Dust.
