Justin Drew Bieber, born in Stratford, Ontario, is a Canadian singer and actor. Bieber was discovered in 2008 by Scooter Braun, who happened to come across Bieber's videos on YouTube and then became his manager. Braun arranged a meeting between him and Usher in Atlanta, Georgia, and Bieber wrote soon signed a contract with Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG), a joint venture between Braun and Usher, and then also a record deal with Island Records.
His debut single "One Time" was released in 2009 and reached 12th place on the Canadian Hot 100 list. His debut album "My World" was released November 17, 2009 and was certified platinum in the U.S.. He became the first artist who had seven songs from a debut album on the Billboard Hot 100 list.
Bieber's first full studio album "My World 2.0" was released on 23 March 2010 and had similar successes. It debuted in the top 10 in several countries and was certified platinum in the U.S.. The album was represented by the single "Baby," which ended up in the top 10 on lists around the world in February 2010. The music video for the song "Baby" is currently the most viewed and diskuterde video to YouTube and also was the most disliked video clip before the site was taken over by Rebecca Black's song "Friday". The singer followed up the launch of her album with her first world tour "My World Tour" remix album "My World Acoustic" and "My World - The Remixes" and a biographical concert film - Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, which almost broke the record as the most grossing weekend premiere of a concert film.
