Rick Wright was a musician born upon July 28, 1943, in Hatch End, northwest of London, England. Wright was best known for his job as a keyboardist, pianist, and backing singer, as well as one of the founding members of the legendary British psychedelic rock band, Pink Floyd.

Wright started his music journey at a young age, discovering classical piano from his parents. He went to the Minister Street Polytechnic Institution of Design, where he met fellow pupils Nick Mason and Roger Seas, who would certainly later form the core of Pink Floyd alongside Wright.

Pink Floyd was formed in 1965, as well as the band quickly discovered industrial success with their second album, A Saucerful of Secrets.
