Rod Steiger (April 14, 1925-- July 9, 2002) was an American actor that is extensively considered among the best actors of his generation. He was born in Westhampton, New York City, to a vaudeville entertainer and also a housewife.

Steiger started his acting job in the 1940s, showing up in a number of phase manufacturings as well as small roles in films.
