This suggests that the victim has some degree of control over the situation and can select to accept or turn down the evil. This quote suggests that evil is not something that is imposed on us, however rather something that we enable to occur. It is up to us to acknowledge and decline wicked when it emerges. We should know our own power to choose and take responsibility for our actions. We must not enable ourselves to be victims of evil, however instead take a stand versus it.
