This quote by Kahlil Gibran talks to the importance of liberty in our lives. Liberty is the freedom to make our own options and to live our lives as we see fit. Without liberty, we are unable to reveal ourselves and to pursue our dreams. We are rather subject to the will of others, not able to make decisions for ourselves. Life without liberty resembles a body without spirit. It is a life without purpose, without joy, and without hope. We are unable to reach our full capacity and to live a life of fulfillment. Liberty is necessary for us to be able to live a meaningful life, and to be able to pursue our enthusiasms and dreams. Without it, we are unable to reach our complete potential and to live a life of fulfillment.
