Love has to do with altruism and sacrifice, and it needs us to put the needs of another person prior to our own. Love is not about expecting something in return, however rather about offering whatever we have to provide. Love has to do with being generous with our time, energy, and emotions. It has to do with being willing to go the extra mile for somebody else, even when it is troublesome or unpleasant. Love is about being willing to put in the effort to make someone else delighted, even when it indicates sacrificing our own happiness. Love has to do with offering whatever we have to give, without anticipating anything in return.
