This quote by Honore de Balzac recommends that the act of evaluating others can prevent one's capability to enjoy. When we constantly judge others, we are concentrating on their flaws and shortcomings rather than seeing the great in them. This can develop a negative mindset and prevent us from truly loving and accepting others for who they are. Love needs empathy, understanding, and acceptance, which are all qualities that are prevented by judgment. By continuously evaluating others, we are restricting our capacity to love and get in touch with others on a deeper level. Therefore, it is important to let go of judgment and accept love in all its kinds.
