This quote by Theodore Roosevelt talks to the idea that life is best resided in the middle years, in between the ages of thirty and sixty. He suggests that the young are too concentrated on their dreams and ambitions to really live life to the max, while the elderly are too concentrated on regrets and what could have been. It is just in the middle years that a person has all of their senses and wits about them, permitting them to truly experience life. Roosevelt suggests that this is the time to take advantage of life, to take risks and explore the world. He encourages us to take advantage of our middle years, to live life to the maximum and to not let our dreams or regrets get in the way.
