Biography

Radcliffe is son of Alan Radcliffe and Marcia Gresham, they rejected their only child when he said he wanted to act when he was only 5 years old. Later they changed their minds, in December 1999 he made his first appearance on screen as the young "David Copperfield" in David Copperfield, the BBC television version of Dickens's novel David Copperfield. Furthermore, his first film appearance in 2001, "Mark Pendulum" in The Tailor of Panama. In 2001 he received the title role in the Harry Potter series, which is based on the books of JK Rowling. This is his biggest role to date.

In 2002, he had a role in the play The Play What I Wrote directed by Kenneth Branagh, a production that is well known for their "surprise guests".
