Biography

Rabindranath Tagore was Indian (Hindu) philosopher, nationalist and writer. Awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913. Wrote the text of India's national anthem Jana Gana-Mana-and Bangladesh national anthem Amar Sonar Bangla. Tagore wrote in both Bengali and English. He was the son of the philosopher Debendranath Tagore.
