Adam Kyler Petty was a driver in the American NASCAR racing.

Petty was born in High Point, North Carolina, the son of driver Kyle Petty, and racing career began shortly after his 18th birthday in 1998.

From 2000 Petty drove in NASCARs second highest class, Busch Series. The 12th May, during training for a race the next day, he had technical problems with the car and drove to the front first into the wall at New Hampshire International Speedway. Adam Petty was killed instantly in the accident.

After the accident, the father, Kyle Petty, driving a black car every time he has run at New Hampshire International Speedway, to honor his son.
