Alessandro Del Piero is an Italian footballer. He plays for Juventus and the Italian national team, and has scored over 30 goals in the Champions League.
Del Piero began his professional career in 1991 with Padova of Italian Serie B. In 1993 he went to Turin club Juventus, where he has played ever since. He has been instrumental in winning the Serie A in 1995, 1997, 1998, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006, Champions League in 1996 and the Toyota Cup in 1996. His best season was 1997-98, when he scored 21 goals in Serie A and 10 goals in the Champions League. He is the captain of Juventus and became the Highest Scoring Juventus player, when he rounded Bonipertis 182 goals in 2005/06-sesongen. He passed 200 goals in Juve-shirt 29 0kt. 2006 in a league match against Frosinone.
In 1996 he was named Europe's best player. In 1998 and 2008 he was named the year's Italian player in Serie A.
