Michael P. Anderson was an American astronaut and Air Force policeman that worked as a goal expert on the Space Shuttle Columbia. He was born upon December 25, 1959, in Plattsburgh, New York City, as well as was the boy of a Flying force policeman.

Anderson went to the University of Washington, where he made a bachelor's degree in physics and also astronomy. He later on received a master's level in physics from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
