Plot Summary
The movie centers around John Constantine (Keanu Reeves), a cynic with the ability to view and communicate with half-angels and half-demons in their true type. Identified with terminal lung cancer due to a lifetime of chain cigarette smoking, Constantine aims to make his method to Heaven by exorcising these creatures back to Hell. We fulfill an authorities detective, Angela Dodson (Rachel Weisz), examining her twin sibling Isabel's death, which has been ruled a suicide - a condition that Angela conflicts.

Fulfilling of Main Characters

Initially unwilling, Constantine finally agrees to help her, discovering Isabel's connection as a psychic to the occult and her function in the grand cosmic struggle between excellent and wicked. Angela, initially doubtful, is soon exposed to the painful reality of the supernatural entities among human souls.

Dispute and Revelation
The duo unwinds the plot of the satanic force Mammon- the son of Lucifer, aiming to break through the worlds with the Spear of Destiny and a psychic, delighting in the mayhem and torture occurring in the human world. Archangel Gabriel, disillusioned with people being God's favorite development over the angels, helps Mammon by keeping Lucifer uninformed about his child's activities.

Climax and Resolution
In the intense showdown, Constantine handles to summon Lucifer by trying suicide. He informs Lucifer about Mammon's betrayal and the inescapable power struggle that will follow if Mammon takes the earth. The concept of a contending prince of darkness does not agree with Lucifer, who punishes Mammon and Gabriel, leaving Constantine with a 2nd chance at life, treating his cancer as a "benefit".
