Overview
"Here Comes The Bride" is a silent comedy film directed by John S. Robertson in 1919. Its cast includes John Barrymore, Faire Binney, Frank Losee, Snitz Edwards, and others.

Plot
The movie informs the story of Cyrus Waltham, a wealthy bachelor (played by John Barrymore) who falls for a model named Jennie Appleton (Faire Binney). Cyrus is a shy introvert who chooses privacy over the business. On the other hand, Jennie is a dynamic and beautiful girl who prides herself in drawing in attention. The rich bachelor is picky about whom to marry till he meets Jennie.

Jennie's Character
Jennie, the leading female character, is depicted as a society lady. She's formerly involved with a male called Leach Norcutt (George Fawcett), another wealthy man understood for his rude behaviour. However, her love for Cyrus forces her to sever the relationship, triggering Norcutt to look for revenge.

Cyrus' Change of Heart
In spite of Cyrus' initial strategy to leave marital relationship, he falls for Jennie, is deeply smitten and chooses to propose. He asks his personal secretary and pal, Billy, to keep his choice trick from everyone, specifically the partners of other rich business people that he usually connects with.

Dispute
The dispute occurs when Jennie's ex-lover, Norcutt, finds her strategies to marry Cyrus. Consumed by jealousy, he contrives a plot to ruin their relationship by spreading out false stories about Jennie. Norcutt's aim is to make Cyrus question her fidelity and cancel the wedding event.

Resolution
Despite efforts made by Norcutt to incriminate Jennie, Cyrus is encouraged by Billy to trust her. He overlooks the rumors about Jennie's expected infidelity, declares his love for her and their marriage plans follow. Norcutt's tactics to interrupt their wedding event stop working, and the 2 lovers finally tie the knot, followed by a funny reception.

Production and Reception
"Here Comes The Bride" was produced under the banner of the Famous Players-Lasky Corporation (now part of Paramount Pictures). In spite of being a quiet movie, the motion picture was applauded for its best blend of humour, love, and drama. John Barrymore's efficiency, in specific, was extremely well-known, in addition to Faire Binney's representation of Jennie.

Total Impression
The film, though almost a century old, holds its importance due to its consistent comedic timing, romance, and the use of thriller. The audience's engagement is significantly maintained through the lead character's funny efforts to save his romance from adjustment. Despite the missing out on fragments due to the age of the movie, what remains provides a clear picture of the story's intended message: Pure love accomplishments all hardships. "Here Comes The Bride" is a quiet movie that effectively interacts emotions and objectives, far going beyond the need for dialogues.
