While attempting to seduce gorgeous lawyer Diane Lightson, wealthy gadabout Chris Thorne agrees to drive her to Atlantic City, N.J. But, when some reckless driving draws the attention of a deeply critical cop, they and the flamboyant "Brazillionaires" who tagged along end up in the court of a grotesque and vengeful judge, who has a special vendetta against the wealthy and erudite.

Introduction
"Nothing but Trouble" is a 1991 American black comedy scary film directed by and starring Dan Aykroyd. The ensemble cast consists of Chevy Chase, John Candy, and Demi Moore. The film incorporates aspects of dark humor and surreal horror, with a story that revolves around a business person and his good friends who end up being caught in an unusual and unsafe small town.

Plot
While trying to offer a high-end house, financial publisher Chris Thorne (Chevy Chase) satisfies lawyer Diane Lightson (Demi Moore). Chris offers to drive Diane to talk to a client in Atlantic City, and they accidentally pick up two strange Brazilian brother or sisters, Fausto (Taylor Negron) and Renalda (Bertila Damas). Due to Chris's careless driving, they bring in the attention of a cop and wind up in the strangely quiet town of Valkenvania.

They are taken to an imposing mansion-cum-courthouse presided over by the 106-years-old Justice of Peace, Alvin Valkenheiser (Dan Aykroyd). Chris, Diane, and the Brazilians are put on trial for their minor traffic violations. The mansion is a home of horrors where Alvin gives his twisted form of justice - minor traffic offenses become capital criminal activities punishable by death.

Characters
John Candy fills double roles. One is as the police officer, Dennis Valkenheiser, who at first pulled the group over, and the other is his mute sister Eldona who establishes a soft spot for Chris. Aykroyd, in addition to playing Judge Valkenheiser, likewise portray Bobo, among the judge's warped grand sons.

Story Progression
With Diane winning Valkenheiser's favor, she and Chris are released with a warning. However, Fausto and Renalda manage to leave from the mansion, stealing Chris's cars and truck, leaving Chris and Diane stranded.
