Cookies, Local Storage & Shortlist

The Shortlist feature stores your saved quotes in your browser's localStorage on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you export or share it. Clearing your browser data or using the "Clear" action on the Shortlist will remove it.

• Examples: a key like shortlist may hold your saved quote IDs.
• Control: You can clear or block site data in your browser settings. Some features may not work without local storage or cookies.

Browser Extension

The FixQuotes Browser Extension (available for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox) does not collect, store, or share any personal user data. It communicates only with FixQuotes.com to fetch the daily quote feed. The extension stores your display preferences (text/image mode) locally in your browser using localStorage, which never leaves your device.

How We Use Information

• To operate, maintain, and improve FixQuotes (including personalization and performance).
• To record views and votes in a fair and non-duplicated manner (using IP addresses).
• To process requests (e.g., quote submissions) and communicate with you.
• To prevent abuse, secure the service, and comply with law.

Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use FixQuotes and to improve usability and performance.

• Google Analytics: Used to measure site usage (pages viewed, referrers, and general device/browser information). You can opt out with the GA Opt-out Add-on.

Legal Bases (EEA/UK/Norway)

• Performance of a contract (e.g., processing your submissions).
