Marshall McLuhan is suggesting that all forms of media, such as television, advertising, and the internet, shape our understanding of the world by presenting us with constructed truths and biased beliefs. He argues that these perceptions and worths are not fundamental or universal, however rather are made and imposed through media channels. For that reason, McLuhan is warning us to be critical customers of media and to acknowledge that the information we get is not constantly objective or truthful.
