John B. S. Haldane's quote recommends that in order to develop a more balanced and harmonious society, we should make sure that everybody is educated in both science and art. He believes that it is not enough to simply inform poets and artists in science, however that we should likewise inform those in positions of power, such as masters, labour and capital, in art. This is because art is simply as important as science in terms of understanding the world around us and developing our imagination. By informing everybody in both science and art, we can develop a more equitable society where everyone is able to contribute to the cumulative understanding and understanding of the world. This will result in a more harmonious and balanced society where everybody has the ability to benefit from the knowledge and imagination of all.
