Justice & Law Quote by Katie Price

"As a child, I've always been in trouble with men and the police have always had to get involved, through no fault of my own"

About this Quote

There is a whole tabloid ecosystem hiding in that “through no fault of my own”: a pre-emptive alibi packaged as autobiography. Katie Price frames childhood not as innocence but as an early training ground for spectacle, where “men” and “the police” are recurring supporting characters in a story that’s already being litigated in public. The line is less a confession than a positioning statement: I was always the headline, never the perpetrator.

What makes it work is its casual extremity. “Always” appears twice, turning isolated incidents into fate, and “men” is left deliberately vague - predatory, protective, accusing, desiring, all at once. That ambiguity is useful. It invites sympathy without specifying facts, letting the audience project whichever narrative they already believe about women who live under the spotlight: victim, troublemaker, lightning rod.

The police enter as a kind of grim validator. In celebrity culture, official involvement can function like proof of significance; the world is literally responding. Yet Price’s phrasing keeps the state at arm’s length (“had to get involved”), as if authority is an inconvenient chore triggered by other people’s actions. The subtext is survival branding: she’s presenting herself as perpetually besieged, and therefore perpetually justified.

Context matters. Price is a figure whose fame was built on controlled exposure, then repeatedly tested by the public’s hunger for mess. This quote plays that game expertly: it offers chaos, denies culpability, and dares you to call it inconsistent - knowing that your outrage still counts as attention.
