That makes doubt inevitable: if your ultimate concern is real, it will encounter finitude, ambiguity, and the limits of language.

The subtext is bracing: faith isn’t a shelter from uncertainty; it’s a way of living honestly inside it. Doubt becomes the pressure that keeps faith from hardening into superstition or propaganda.
