"If the Police could do a reunion... One of the biggest jerks I ever met was Sting. If he can do it, then anyone can do it. It's not that big a deal. And the Eagles! They did it! They severely hated each other. It's just rock and roll"

- Steven Adler

About this Quote

Steven Adler, the former drummer of Guns N' Roses, was discussing the opportunity of a get-together for the British rock band, The Police, in an interview. He stated that even though he had an individual animosity against The Police's lead singer and also bassist, Sting, he believed that a get-together was feasible considering that bands like The Eagles had efficiently done it despite their own problems. Adler's point was that disagreements and conflicts in between band members were not uncommon in the music industry and they should not quit a reunion from occurring. The quote suggests that in Adler's viewpoint, rock and roll bands might come together despite personal differences as well as rivalries, and the songs would be more substantial than the problems.
