"I'm not a star"

Harvey Korman's quote "I'm not a star" can be analyzed in a couple of various ways. On one hand, it might be interpreted as a modest statement, as Korman was known for his comedic talent and was a precious actor and comedian. He might be saying that he is not a star in the sense that he does rule out himself to be above anyone else, which he is just an ordinary person. On the other hand, it could be translated as a declaration of insecurity. Korman was a successful actor and comedian, however he may have felt that he was not as successful as a few of his peers, which he was not a "star" in the same way that they were. Whatever the interpretation, it is clear that Korman was a simple and self-aware person who was not afraid to express his feelings.
