This quote by Paul Harvey is a reminder that life is short which we must maximize it. He is recommending that retirement is a type of practice for death, as it is the time when we are no longer actively participated in life. He is saying that death does not require any practice, as it is inescapable and will come to all of us. He is encouraging us to make the most of our lives and to not lose time in retirement, however to continue to live life to the maximum. He is advising us that life is precious and that we must take advantage of it while we can. He is also suggesting that retirement needs to not be viewed as a time to slow down, however rather as a time to continue to live life to the fullest and to make the most of our remaining years.
