"Science has not yet mastered prophecy. We predict too much for the next year and yet far too little for the next 10"

Neil Armstrong is suggesting that while science has made excellent progress in making forecasts for the coming year, it can not properly predict occasions that will occur 10 years from now. This implies that science still has much work to do in order to become competent in making long-lasting predictions.
