"The goal of socialism is communism"

The objective of socialism, as visualized by Vladimir Lenin, is to eventually reach communism. Lenin thought that socialism was a necessary step in the transition from commercialism to communism. He argued that socialism was a duration of shift in which the working class would take control of the methods of production and the state would be used to rearrange wealth and resources. This would lead to an egalitarian society in which all people would be equivalent and the state would no longer be necessary. Lenin argued that this was the only method to achieve true flexibility and justice for the working class. He believed that socialism was the only method to attain a really simply and fair society.
