It is insufficient to be prepared before the obstacle, or to be able to reflect on it after the fact. A champ is somebody who is prepared to handle the obstacle when the gong rings. This means that they are prepared to face the difficulty head on, and want to put in the effort to make certain they succeed. Champions are not scared of failure, however instead want to take threats and put in the hard work to make sure they are successful. Champions are not simply those who succeed, however those who are ready to handle the challenge when it occurs.
