Intro
"A Bad Moms Christmas" is a 2017 American Christmas comedy movie directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. The movie functions as a follow up to 2016's Bad Moms and includes the main trio of single mother Carla (Kathryn Hahn), career mom Kiki (Kristen Bell), and perfectionist Amy (Mila Kunis) dealing with their own going to mothers over the Christmas holiday.

Plot Summary
The film begins with Amy (Mila Kunis) feeling worried due to the expectations and turmoil of preparing a perfect Christmas. She's joined by Kiki (Kristen Bell) and Carla (Kathryn Hahn) who share the very same struggles. Things reach a boiling point when their own mothers decide to go to for the holidays.

Kiki's mom, Sandy (Cheryl Hines), has an obsession with Kiki, behaving as though they're attached at the hip. It becomes apparent that her love for her child crosses the line into unhealthy co-dependency. Meanwhile, Amy's mother, Ruth (Christine Baranski), is a perfectionist who belittles Amy's efforts at creating her own Christmas customs and criticizes her easygoing approach. Then there's Carla's mom, Isis (Susan Sarandon), a rock-n-roll roadie who only checks out Carla when she needs cash.

Stress and Resolution
The arrival of their respective mothers develops stress, activating arguments and speeding up the tension of the festive period. Amy's battle with her controlling mom caps throughout a Christmas Eve face-off. After Ruth takes over Amy's less conventional Christmas Eve celebration and sets up a lavish Nutcracker spectacle, Amy chooses to fight back, resulting in a conflict between the two.

Kiki reaches her breaking point when Sandy gets too close for comfort, even presuming as to suggest that they go through couples therapy. Kiki finally musters the guts to develop boundaries with her mom.

Carla, in the meantime, handle Isis's go to by attempting to reconnect with her absentee mother. When she learns Isis gambled away her money, Carla gives her a remodeling and takes her to a bar to work as a sexy Santa in order to make some quick cash.

All three good friends, exhausted from the complexities and pressures that come with being a best mother and accommodating their own, decide to reclaim their independence and reclaim Christmas.

Ending
In the end, each of the mommies finds out to understand and appreciate her mom's perspective. The motion picture concludes with each duo settling their concerns. Amy and Ruth pertain to value each other's parenting designs. Kiki and Sandy develop a healthier mother-daughter relationship, and Carla and Isis find a shared friendship in their non-traditional relationship.

Conclusion
"A Bad Moms Christmas" delivers an amusing and relatable story about the trials and tribulations of motherhood while commemorating flaw. The film puts a spotlight on the obstacles that mothers can face during the joyful duration, particularly with the included pressure of living up to their own moms' expectations. Ultimately, it serves as a reminder that for all their defects, the bond between moms and children is one to be cherished and appreciated.
