A down-on-his-luck coach is hired to prepare a team of the best American dancers for an international tournament that attracts all the best crews from around the world, but the Americans haven't won in fifteen years.

The plot revolves around a famous B-boying competitors held every year in France, called Battle of the Year.

Plot Synopsis
Dante Graham (Laz Alonso), a sports promoter and previous B-boy dancer, is troubled to see America repeatedly losing the prominent Battle of the Year competitors, which American groups had actually initially dominated when it started 15 years earlier. Dante deduces that an appropriate training system is missing out on, and old-school training is required to reclaim the title.

Dante connects to Jason Blake (Josh Holloway), his old basketball pal who has been in a downward spiral because losing his family in a mishap.
