A rookie cop inadvertently captures the murder of a young drug dealer on her body cam. After realizing that the murder was committed by corrupt cops, she teams up with the one person from her community who is willing to help her as she tries to escape both the criminals out for revenge and the police who are desperate to destroy the incriminating footage.

Intro

Plot
Naomie Harris plays Alicia West, a novice police and former Afghanistan War veteran in the New Orleans Police Department. Throughout her night patrol, Alicia is set up to join her experienced partner Officer Deacon Brown on routine patrol instead of her regular fellow novice. An unintended detour puts Alicia in a kill zone and she witnesses Officer Brown and other corrupt police officers perform drug dealers. The scene is taped on her body electronic camera.

A deadly video game of cat-and-mouse starts when Alicia leaves the scene with the body web cam video. Corrupt cops are desperate to recuperate the evidence that can expose their rogue operation, while the drug dealers are out for revenge, thinking Alicia to be responsible for the killings.

Body Cam Footage
Alicia attempts to publish the footage at the precinct however discovers it to be under the control of the corrupt polices, led by Terry Malone, played by Frank Grillo. Concurrently, the gang leaders put a bounty on Alicia, and quickly the entire community is against her. Alicia then relies on Milo "Mouse" Jackson, a shopkeeper played by Tyrese Gibson, for aid. Mouse, at first unwilling, accepts shelter her as they determine how to get the video footage out to expose the cops.

Conclusion
The movie culminates in a tense face-off between disgraced polices, armed gangsters, and Alicia in the rundown structures of the Crescent City real estate projects. In one last survival quote, Alicia submits the stunning footage on social media platforms, exposing the callous crimes of her coworkers in uniform.
