Introduction
"Breaking at the Edge" is a 2013 psychological thriller directed by Predrag Antonijevic. The motion picture includes Andie MacDowell, Rebecca Da Costa, Milo Ventimiglia, and Logan Browning. It's written by Jake Kennedy and Nissar Modi. Its central story focuses on a pregnant female who witnesses frightening hallucinations that she thinks to be forecasts of her other kid's death if she does not do something to prevent it.

Plot
The film follows outstanding performances from the cast, particularly Rebecca Da Costa, who plays Bianca, a psychologically ill and heavily pregnant female. She's battling with her fears and hallucinations about her unborn second kid's approaching death. Haunted by a previous episode of losing her baby due to the acquired blood disorder, Hemophilia, Bianca is grasped by these terrifying visions.

Her suspicions install against her hubby Ian (Milo Ventimiglia) as she feels he is distorted by the impact of his imperious mom, Zelda (Andie MacDowell). Zelda is a callous real estate agent businesswoman who is seemingly cold-hearted and would go any lengths to protect her family's status. The plot thickens when Bianca's half-sister, Kayleigh (Logan Browning), thrust into the household drama, gets embroiled in Bianca's nightmares also.

Centerpiece
Bianca's fears emerge through dark and eerie hallucinations. She thinks her present pregnancy's result comes from her previous fiancée, David, who she believes is sending her a message from beyond the grave. The disturbing hallucinations gradually drive Bianca to severe lengths to conserve her unborn child.

Kayleigh, who initially questions Bianca's sanity, eventually comes on her side. Worried about Bianca's weakening mindset and her threat to go over the hallucinations with the police, Ian tries to have her devoted. Nevertheless, when Kayleigh finds some shocking facts about Ian and Zelda's ominous intentions, the siblings join forces to combat them.

Conclusion

In the last act, Bianca challenges Ian about his ulterior intentions and demands leaving the family owned estate. Amidst the tension, Bianca enters into labor and is hurried to the hospital. Post the delivery, Bianca and her infant's life hangs by a thread.

The climax unfolds when Ian, still declaring to have his spouse and unborn child's best interests at heart, is exposed to be the villain. The film concludes with a gripping standoff in between Ian and Kayleigh, who is trying to secure Bianca and her newborn from any damage.

General Review
"Breaking at the Edge" offers an intense thriller experience, with an ominous atmosphere and well-executed thriller minutes. With a well-drafted storyline revolving around mental illness and household politics, the motion picture keeps viewers engaged till completion. The concept cast provides strong performances, especially Rebecca Da Costa, who effectively represents the terrible mental state of a pregnant female. While the supernatural components add to the secret, the motion picture leaves audiences with a chill, questioning the lengths to which family can control for power and control.
