Film Introduction
"Bright" is a 2017 American city dream movie directed by David Ayer and written by Max Landis. Released by Netflix, the film stars Will Smith, Joel Edgerton, and Noomi Rapace. It's a special blend of dream and buddy-cop categories, embeded in an alternate present-day Los Angeles where humans, orcs, fairies, and fairies have existed side-by-side because the start of time.

Plot
Will Smith plays Daryl Ward, a seasoned human cop, reluctantly paired with Nick Jakoby, played by Joel Edgerton, who is the first Orc to join the force. Orcs being a socially marginalized types, their partnership meets hostility from other officers and the public alike. This stretched relationship is further made complex when they are assigned the task to secure a wonderful artifact-- a wand, which can catastrophic damage if fallen under incorrect hands.

Characters and Conflict
The story reveals social divisions with its characteristic depictions of different races. People represent the middle class, the wealthy and effective elites are the Elves, and the Orcs are the lower, socio-economically disadvantaged class. Jakoby's battles to be accepted as an officer and his complex relationship with his race form a substantial part of the narrative.

The main dispute arises when young fairy Tikka, represented by Lucy Fry, enters the scene. She has stolen a magical wand from her previous girlfriend Leilah, played by Noomi Rapace, who belongs to the villainous radical-elf sect aiming to revive the Dark Lord. As Tikka needs protection from Leilah's relentless pursuit, the unlikely duo of Ward and Jakoby is entrusted the powerful task.

Action and Conclusion
"Bright" features intense action sequences, and the relentless pursuit by numerous parties to have the wand kinds the foundation of the plot. Ward, Jakoby, and Tikka must navigate both physical dangers and social stress as they battle against gang members, fanatical human beings, and ruthless elves.

In the end, after numerous fights and the death of Leilah, the wand is secured and Tikka disappears. Ward and Jakoby, having endured all chances in their journey, are rewarded for their heroism by their cops department, thus securing Jakoby's place amongst the police force.

Important Reception
"Bright" produced a combined important response. Regardless of criticism for its screenplay and perceived insensitive handling of its socially aware styles, its solid action series, special mix of genres, and performances-- particularly from Smith and Edgerton-- received appreciation. In spite of the divided crucial reactions, the movie showed to be effective for Netflix, getting a considerable quantity of views in a short duration, subsequently protecting a sequel.
