Film Overview
"Cars 3" is a 2017 American 3D computer-animated sports comedy-drama film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the third installation in the Cars movie franchise and a follow up to Cars 2 from 2011. Directed by Brian Fee and co-written by Kiel Murray, Bob Peterson and Mike Rich, the film sees Lightning McQueen, the accomplished red race cars and truck, attempting to recover his fame and success in a racing world dominated by new, technically advanced rivals.

Plot Summary
In "Cars 3", Lightning McQueen is now an experienced racing champion. However, he is confronted by a brand-new generation of faster vehicles, led by the extremely competitive and state-of-the-art racer, Jackson Storm. Despite his best efforts, Lightning gets beat once again and once again, causing him to feel old and out-of-date. His racing profession awaits balance as he's edged out by the significantly innovative and faster racing vehicles, resulting in a disaster crash in a race.

After the crash, lots of believe him to be finished, but Lightning picks to combat back. In a surprising twist, McQueen remembers Cruz's dream of racing and puts her in the race in his place. With McQueen's training, Cruz conquers her insecurities and out-speeds Storm to win the race, proving that it is not always the most innovative, however oftentimes the most determined, that win the race.

"Cars 3" is a movie about perseverance, friendship, and mentoring. It depicts Lightning's acceptance of his aging self and his shift from racing star to a mentor. With vibrant visuals, psychological depth, and a story that stabilizes fond memories with an assertion of individual relevance, "Cars 3" marks a recover for the franchise after the less-praised "Cars 2". The film successfully encapsulates the messages of self-belief, ambition, the value of experience, and the power of mentorship, making it not just an entertaining watch, but likewise a meaningful narrative.
