In an age long ago, the last village of clever, peace-loving Hobbits is attacked and enslaved by the Java Men, komodo-worshiping, dragon-riding cannibals. Now the young Hobbit Goben, along with his father and sister, must seek help from the "giants" (human hunters) to find the Javas' lair and rescue the last surviving Hobbits, Goben's mother among them. In their quest to destroy the Javas, the heroic partnership of humans and Hobbits will transform both species forever.

Introduction
"Clash of the Empires", likewise referred to as "Age of the Hobbits" and "Lord of the Elves", is a low-budget action fantasy movie directed by Joseph J. Lawson, launched in 2012. The movie was produced by The Asylum, a company known for its mockbusters, low-budget films inspired by big-budget smash hits.

Setting
"Clash of the Empires" is set in a fictional prehistoric period, similar to those normally related to high-fantasy literature or mythology. In spite of the title's apparent referral to "The Hobbit", the script does not directly describe Tolkien's work. Rather, it uses the term 'hobbits' to describe a prehistoric species, the Homo floresiensis, small humans who resided in Indonesia 17,000 years ago.

Plot
The motion picture follows the serene 'Hobbits' who have actually lived in harmony for ages up until they are suddenly attacked by a race of flesh-eating dragon-riders, the Java Men, who force the Hobbits into slavery. In the middle of, this mayhem, a hobbit called Amara, played by Bai Ling, manages to escape.

Character Development and Conflict
Amara goes on a hazardous quest through the land of the giants, coming across scary creatures and dangerous landscapes. Along her journey, she forms a not likely alliance with 2 males, Goben and Omi, who come from another tribe known as the Tree People. The business grows as they rescue other enslaved 'Hobbits' and hire a group of 'giants' to their cause. Together, they form a plan to liberate their individuals and beat the Java Men, forming the main dispute of the film.

Climax and Conclusion
The climax centers on the impressive end of the world. With a shrewd strategy and bravery, the 'Hobbits' and 'Giants' face the Java Men and their dragons in a clash that gives the film its title. Regardless of the chances, the heroics of Amara and her allies manage to overcome their oppressors, culminating in the liberation of their people. The film ends on a hopeful note, with the 'Hobbits' and 'Giants' living easily and harmoniously as soon as again.

Reception
"Clash of the Empires" gotten unfavorable reviews from critics. Many criticisms focused on the poor quality of the unique results, uninspiring acting, and viewed violations of copyrights owned by the Tolkien estate and Warner Bros. Despite the criticism, the film discovered its audience among enthusiasts of B-category, low-budget dream movies.
