A year after losing his friend in a tragic 4,000-foot fall, former ranger Gabe Walker and his partner, Hal, are called to return to the same peak to rescue a group of stranded climbers, only to learn the climbers are actually thieving hijackers who are looking for boxes full of money.

The burglars lose their cash in the wilderness and need local assistance to retrieve it.

Walker, encouraged by his old friend Tucker, reluctantly returns to the mountains to help in the rescue mission, unaware that they will experience the criminal gang. Upon their arrival, they are hijacked, and Walker is required by Qualen to utilize his climbing skills to find the lost cash.
