"Dead Male's Curve", otherwise called "The Curve", is a psychological thriller launched in 1998. Directed by Dan Rosen, the film focuses on the lives of two college roomies, Tim and Chris, who are enticed by a campus myth that declares a trainee who loses a roommate due to suicide will immediately receive straight As for the semester as compensation.

Plot
Tim (Matthew Lillard) and Chris (Michael Vartan) are roomies at a reliable university with demanding academic schedules. They stumble upon a college legend that a trainee whose roomie devotes suicide is rewarded with straight As as a compassion gesture. Seeing this as an easy route to academic success, they plot to push their third roommate Rand (Randall Batinkoff) over the edge and have him appear as a suicide victim.

The plot twists when Rand, who is made to seem unlikeable and disposable, really shows up dead, developing a wave of guilt and worry between the 2. Nevertheless, the situation spirals even more out of control when Tim murderously turns on Chris, framing him for Rand's murder and trying to attain the straight A's for himself.
